- This is the site of Faringdon's fourth Fire Station, 1943 till 1961, the lease ran out in1961. During the National Fire Service times Faringdon was Station D.2.X of Fire force 15. (15.D.2.X.) Faringdon was a whole time Station During N.F.S. days, Section Leader A.H.Miller in charge of the Whole time, Section Leader C.Smith the Retained. The Building ceased as a Fire Station and Appliance Room Closed on the 23rd June 1961.
